Metal oxide arrester (hereinafter referred to as the arrester) is an overvoltage limiter, when the overvoltage appears, the voltage between the two terminals of the arrester does not exceed the specified value, so that the electrical equipment is protected from overvoltage damage; After the overvoltage action, the system can be quickly restored to normal state.
2. Structural characteristics
Metal oxide arrester is mainly composed of zinc oxide resistor with excellent voltammetry characteristics, upper and lower electrode and jacket.
Composite jacket arrester has the following characteristics:
1) Fundamentally solve the sealing problem;
2) The composite coat is resistant to climate aging, has a wide operating temperature range, strong hydrophobicity, and has the characteristics of recovery and migration, can operate normally in harsh climates such as high altitude and heavy pollution, and can prevent malignant explosion accidents;
3) The external metal parts are made of anti-corrosion materials such as high-strength alloy aluminum, so the pre-test cycle can be extended or no maintenance is required during the service period;
4) Small size, light weight.
Electric porcelain jacket arrester has the following characteristics:
1) The arrester adopts two structures of normal pressure and micro positive pressure, and is filled with high purity dry nitrogen or SF6 gas. The micro positive pressure makes the gas pressure inside the arrester slightly greater than the atmospheric pressure, and the external humid gas is difficult to enter the interior, which greatly improves the tide resistance of the arrester.
2) The main components of the arrester are sealed with helium mass spectrum leak detector;
3) The arrester is equipped with a pressure release device. When the arrester moves under abnormal circumstances and the internal pressure rises, the internal pressure can be released in time to avoid the occurrence of secondary accidents.

1) The ambient temperature is not higher than +40℃, not lower than -40℃;

Note: The effect of the maximum solar exposure (1.1kW/m2) has been taken into account by preheating the test in the type test. If there are other heat sources near the arrester, the use of the arrester must be negotiated by the supply and demand parties.
3) The altitude does not exceed 1000m;
4) The frequency of the power supply is not less than 48Hz, not more than 62Hz;
5) The power frequency voltage applied between the terminals of the arrester for a long time should not exceed the continuous operating voltage of the arrester;
6) Areas with seismic intensity 7 degrees and below;
7) The maximum wind speed does not exceed 35m/s.
