1. Product introduction

The line overvoltage protector belongs to a lightning arrester with an external string gap, which is mainly used to prevent the overhead insulated wire breakage accident caused by lightning strike and the line tripping accident caused by insulator flashover. The external series gap is mainly composed of the wire directly and arc coil, no damage to the wire during installation, and a tiny discharge hole will be formed on the wire during discharge, but due to the nonlinear characteristics of the arrester resistor, the arc will soon be extinguished to avoid the line trip caused by wire breakage and insulator flashover.

2. Working principle

In the normal operation of the power grid, the air gap isolates the power frequency voltage, and the arrester body hardly bears the voltage. Under the action of lightning overvoltage generated by direct lightning or induced lightning, the air gap is broken down, and the arrester body presents low impedance. After the lightning impact, the power frequency voltage is loaded on the arrester body, and the resistance of the arrester body becomes larger instantly, the passing current, that is, the arc current, is resisted at a lower value, the arc voltage drop of the air gap increases, and the insulation of the air gap quickly recovers. The arc is extinguished naturally in a very short time, and the power frequency continuous current is completely interrupted.

3. Structural characteristics

A, the installation bracket is adjustable, which can change the height of the arrester, so as to adjust the discharge gap between the arc ring and the wire to meet the cooperation with different insulators.

B, the arrester body uses high-performance metal oxide resistor, with good nonlinear voltammeter characteristics, release overvoltage sensitive and residual low.

C, due to the isolation effect of the discharge gap part, it is unnecessary to consider the electrical aging problem under long-term operating voltage.

D, arc ring with open design, old line transformation can be directly put in, so as to facilitate installation.
